Street Shows

I'm going to backtrack a little to share these super funny clips of the street performers we saw a few weekends ago. Every Friday and Saturday they are out there telling jokes and doing tricks.

The first guy was more of a comedian. He was hilarious! Most of his bit was giving people walking by stories and sound effects. It was even better when those random strangers participated! He followed people around and picked people out saying they were dancers or singers or his ex-wife or lawyer. He danced on a car stopping traffic and earning a honk. He even sees his friend "Jodie" an actual dancer and talks her into 10 seconds of dancing with him. Another boy he introduced as a breakdancer and the boy surprised everyone by actually dancing! There's also a bit of modeling & juggling with fire for those of you who can't understand what he's saying.

The second performer was at the same location later that day. (We have to walk through federation square where these usually are to get to our favorite park) He was funny as well but did more circus act type tricks like cracking whips, juggling sharp stuff and riding an 8 ft unicycle! Cavan wanted to sit up front of course. I'm glad he did because for the finale Cav got to hold a SWORD and hand it to the performer once he was up on the unicycle. For those of you who have not met a five year old boy, this was bigger than Santa Claus. It was super cute to see Cavan actually shy. In the video you can see him tossing Cavan $5, & hear him trying to get Cavan to bow and Cav just stares at him, lol. He paid Cavan $5 for helping him. Which led to a speech about how hard it is to be a street performer and to please give him donations if we liked his show, cheeky fellow. We let Cav keep his hard earned money and gave the performer $10.
